Admissions and Age Placement
How do you decide which class my child should join?
Children are placed according to age guidelines while also considering their individual developmental readiness. We
look at each child’s emotional, social and cognitive development to ensure the best possible fit. When helpful, we
gently observe children during a play-based interaction to understand their comfort level and ensure they are placed
where they will feel secure and confident.

What does your early years program focus on?
Our program is built on the understanding that young children learn best through play, relationships, and hands-on
exploration. Children are encouraged to wonder, investigate, share ideas and make choices. This approach supports
thinking, language development, social understanding, physical growth and confidence, laying strong foundations for
lifelong learning.
Settling-in Support for New Learners
How will you help my child adjust to school?
We understand that starting school is a significant milestone. Chughtai International offers a caring and gradual
settling in process that allows children to explore the classroom at their own pace, build trusting relationships with
teachers and become familiar with routines gently. Families are guided throughout this transition, so children experi
ence school as calm, predictable and safe
Play-Based Learning
How is play-based learning different from traditional teaching?
In traditional classrooms, learning is often teacher directed. At Chughtai International, learning begins with children’s
curiosity. Through play, children explore ideas, solve problems, develop early literacy and numeracy and learn to
collaborate with others. Teachers observe closely, ask thoughtful questions, and extend learning, supporting
children’s thinking without taking ownership away from them.
Communication with Families
How will I know what my child is learning?
We use the Toddle platform to share photographs, videos, learning stories and regular classroom updates. Families see authentic
learning moments as they happen, not just finished work. This gives parents meaningful insight into their child’s thinking, creativity
and growth.
School Timings and Daily Routines
What does a typical day look like?
Each day includes long periods of uninterrupted play, small-group learning, outdoor exploration, music and movement, storytelling
and time for reflection. Predictable routines help children feel secure, while flexibility allows them to follow interests and make choices
throughout the day.
