It is an honor for me to be spearheading the effort behind Chughtai International School. In 2015, I completed my Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) from Harvard University and returned to Pakistan with a clear vision for transformative change in our education system. My first major initiative was cofounding the LUMS School of Education to reimagine education reform in Pakistan. However, it was not until I became the Director of the National Curriculum Council, Federal Ministry of Education, that I truly understood the deep divides in educational equity and access. Through extensive interactions with stakeholders across the country — from principals in Turbat, examiners in Gujranwala, to students in Skardu — it became evident that there was a critical gap in teacher learning and development across all types of schools: public, private, and madaris. Developing Pakistan's first core curriculum was a monumental task, but its successful implementation required a deep understanding of how learning happens in a quality classroom. Thus, I decided to establish my own school.
At Chughtai International School (CIS), we are dedicated to bridging this gap by ensuring our educators receive world-class training from leading global experts while staying deeply connected to Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage. This approach allows our students to benefit from an international standard of education while remaining grounded in their cultural roots, empowering them to navigate the world with confidence and a strong sense of identity.
By nurturing a supportive international learning community, we emphasize a rigorous, relevant, and holistic education. At Chughtai International School, our primary goal is to create a personalized learning environment that empowers students to take charge of their educational journeys and develop the skills needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world. We are proud to lead in designing and implementing education that prepares our learners for success in a post-AI world of careers and opportunities. By recognizing and fostering each student's unique talents, we help them build confidence, cultivate a sense of responsibility, and achieve their full potential.
